Bits and Pieces

Over many years I accumulated dozens and dozens of mixed media (pencil, ink, paint) works on paper, some good, some not so good. Even in the not-so-good drawings there was likely a detail or two-- the face, a pair of hands, patterned areas-- that stood out and were worth saving. Given my propensity to keep everything I decided to 'Frankenstein' the drawings by cutting them apart these disparate bits and pieces, and collaged them into entirely new figurative works on paper.
